The Kitten (Si Mungil) and The hen
"Si
Mungil" is a funny kitten. Everyday he looks so weak and inactive.
One
day his mother asked him. "What are you
thinking, Mungil?" his mother had been watching him for long.
"I am bored here in the house, mom! I want to
take fresh air outside to get new experience, I have been grown up, haven't
I?" Mungil asked his mother.
This time Si Mungil was permitted to go outside
the house, then, he got out of the house jumped happily.
Outside, Si Mungil saw some beautiful gardens with
colourful butterflies. He was so excited that he couldn't wait to play inside
the garden.
Soon,
a beautiful butterfly entered the garden and took some food in a beautiful
flower and flew again in front of the kitten. Feeling bothered, Si Mungil beat
and killed the poor butterfly.
Feeling satisfied to play in the garden, Si Mungil
moved to a clear shallow river to see some fish. He felt very entertained.
After
playing he sat down under a big tree to rest.
No
longer, then, a chick came to make a noise with its sound. It certainly
disturbed him. Si Mungil was angry and chased after the chick.
The
chick ran away scared and asked for his mother's help.
Hearing
the son's screaming, the strong mother hen hurriedly went to find him. The hen was so
furious to see what had happened to her son.
She
looked for the kitten who had hurt her son. When they met each other the kitten
thought that he was strong enough to fight with the hen. But he was wrong, the
hen hit him over the head, the hen was too strong for him. The hen beat Si
Mungil again so that the poor kitten fell down bleeding.
Si
Mungil was surprised to know that the hen was more powerfull than he was. No
sooner had he thought about her, the mother hen chased after him, this made Si
Mungil fleet away.
Si
Mungil entered the house, he was still shaking although his mother hugged him.
The mother advised him and said, "That is your new experience, you
shouldn't have acted boastful to treat other people badly, you should have
helped others with your strength". Si Mungil finally realized his mistakes
and promised not to do it anymore.
Once,
a hen was looking for food with her two chicks. They walked a long a clear
river near the field.
When
they had arrived under a big tree, the hen saw a pile of wet soil. The hen knew
that there would be a lot of worms underneath.
Later
she ordered the chicks to wait and to relax under the tree while mother hen
tried to look for worms for them.
Worms
were their favorite menu, this time the hen could only get a worm for the two
chicks.
She,
then stop seeking for food and cleaned her hands and body from the dirt of the
wet soil.
Later,
she walked toward her chicks and told them that she had one worm for the two.
The
two chicks, immediately ran to the rock on which there was the worm. They
struggled to get it. They were fighting and hit each other.
Because
they didn't see the worm while they were fighting, the worm had enough time to
escape. It finally crawled into a hole in the ground under a big rock.
When
they went back to the big rock, they didn't find the worm on it. The worm had
gone. Then they could only regret themselves. They should have shared together
as their mother's saying.
